Highest Mountain in Europe
Mount Elbrus
It is one of the most important peaks in the world, especially that it is the highest in Europe and the 10th height peak in the world. Elbrus has two summits, both of which are dormant volcanic domes. The western summit is the highest with a height of 5,642 meters, while the eastern summit is 5,621 meters high.
An amazing breathtaking experience
This is how I summarized the adventure in specific words because I chose the most difficult and harsh way to summit the mountain. I started climbing from the northern side which is considered much more difficult than the south side. This made the adventure an all-in-one experience full of amazing memories.
Dream
Passion, love, adventure and discovery are the things that helps to achieve your dream, especially when you’re suffering from altitude sickness. While climbing I faced difficult moments, such as inability to breathe and a sense of hopelessness that infiltrates me.
But the dream is bigger than losing it
I would like to suggest to all aspiring adventurers and explorers with great dreams and aspirations, that they strive to rise towards their dreams and aspirations and close the door to any obstacle that may stand in their way to achieving the dream they truly desire.
All I needed to enter Russia
After Russia declared they no longer require visa and simultaneously they are hosting the World Cup, I hit the jackpot two birds in one stone. So I went and attended the opening of the World Cup and the opening match, then left to have a great time in the arms of nature.
Mount Elbrus preparation
I packed my backpack for cold weather expedition and made sure that all I have are only the necessary equipment for the mountain. Also, I knew that the mountain tour guide will personally check my gear and advice accordingly, and incase I am missing something, there is a local store which I can rent gear from. On the other hand, every single thing you carry has weights, so always ask yourself do you want to carry it when you’re 4,000 /5,000 meters above sea level? Think about what your packing carefully!
